A Boston couple leads 10-year effort to revive a lost chapter in Polish Jewish history
Imagine you’re traveling in the Polish- Lithuanian commonwealth several centuries ago and sought out a shul to celebrate Shabbos services.
You would likely have gone to one of the 200 wooden-framed synagogues that had been built in the area in the 17th and 18th centuries.

In sudden move, day school replaces its head
With less than two months left in the school year, Kehillah Schechter Academy has replaced its head of school.
Two teachers at the Norwood day school, Rabbi David Paskin and Dr. Nitzan Resnick, took over for Marc Medwed, who was in his first year as the school’s head. Medwed had succeeded Jane Taubenfeld Cohen, who founded the school 23 years ago. Full Story

Emeth honors Mildred Levitt
CHESTNUT HILL - Mildred Levitt, a life member of the Sisterhood of Temple Emeth in Chestnut Hill, was named the Sisterhood’s 2012 Woman of Distinction.
